Grace, Adam, and I go way back! I captured their surprise proposal in 2021, edited their wedding gallery, and then in 2023, they welcomed their sweet son into the world. This past year, it was time to document another milestone—celebrating his first birthday!

Since it was December and a bit chilly, we booked a cozy studio to stay warm. We spent the session playing, chatting, and just catching up—which is exactly why I love these types of shoots. There’s something so special about taking time to talk, laugh, and simply be in the moment. We kept the vibe minimal because I truly believe less is more—when you strip away all the distractions, you get to focus on the genuine moments, the little interactions, and the love that shines through.

Their little one was an absolute natural in front of the camera, and as the session wrapped up, we ended with a classic first-birthday cake smash! It was the perfect way to celebrate his first year, and I feel so lucky to capture these milestones and be a part of my clients’ journeys.
