Dave and Lauren are the sweetest, most down-to-earth, beautiful couple, and their wedding in Boston was the epitome of elegance and timeless romance.
I first met Lauren two years before her wedding—at her sister’s wedding! She was such a huge help, and our personalities clicked right away. She was just so much fun to be around! Fast forward a year, and I get an email from her—it was her turn to get married! Ahhh! I was beyond excited because I knew whatever she had planned was going to be magical.
Their wedding took place right on the water, in the heart of Boston, at the Marriott Long Wharf. The views were unreal—towering city buildings, boats docked along the cobblestone walkways, and the perfect mix of classic Boston charm.
The day started with drinks and jitters! Lauren looked absolutely stunning, surrounded by her best girlfriends as she got ready to put on her dress. Dave was calm, but you could tell he was more than ready to see his soon-to-be wife. Their first look was intimate and private—a quiet, emotional moment between just the two of them before the day kicked into full swing. Afterward, we captured wedding party and family portraits by the water and in the gorgeous park next to the venue. It was a BRIGHT and SUNNY July day, and let’s just say… the summer heat did not disappoint! Luckily, we took a break to cool off before the ceremony.
After the ceremony, it was straight into cocktail hour on the outdoor patio, overlooking the city and the harbor—boats, ocean, people walking by. The appetizers were flowing, and it was the best social hour, filled with reunions and so much joy. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the reception!
And what a reception it was! The dances flew by, but the dance moves lasted all night. The groomsmen hoisted Dave up in the air, chanting and celebrating him, while Lauren stayed on the ground but absolutely tore up the dance floor with her family and friends. Just when it felt like the night was winding down, the DJ grabbed everyone’s attention for one last surprise—Lauren and Dave’s final dance to their special song: “First Date” by Blink-182! Because let’s be real, who doesn’t love a pop-punk throwback at a wedding?! The energy in that room was insane.
It was such a fun day and night, spent in the city, with love in the air every second of it.
